Scouting Organisations

The group consists of three sections: Beavers, Cubs and Scouts. A waiting list is in operation which usually opens once a year for entry into the Group which is normally at Beaver level.

For all groups contact the Parish Centre first.

  Scouts

 

The Group continues to go from strength to strength. At present all 3 sections beavers, cubs and scouts are full to capacity and are kept very busy with scouting activities.

Beavers

Beavers meet on Friday nights in the Church of Ireland Parish Centre, Lucan. Beavers cater for boys and girls from 6 - 8 years old. Apart from the weekly meetings where various activities and badge work is carried out, extra outings and events are held from time to time.

Beavers is open to both boys and girls.

Cubs

Cubs meet on Monday nights in the Church of Ireland Parish Centre, Lucan. Cubs cater for boys and girls from 8 - 11 years old. Apart from the weekly meetings where various activities and badge work is carried out, outings, camps, hikes, events with other cub Scout Packs etc. are organised from time to time.

Scouts

Scouts meet on Wednesday nights in St Andrew’s National School, Lucan. Scouts caters for both boys and girls age 11 upwards. Apart from the weekly meetings the emphasis in Scouts is on outdoor activities including hiking and camping.

Venture Scouts

The 48th Scout Group is expanding. We have opened a new Venture Section in the Group. This is for ages 15, 16 and 17 male and female. We already have an enthusiastic group of five and would welcome other likeminded youth to join.
